The Golden Globe Nominations: does anyone really care?

They all seem either obvious or disappointing to me. For what I've seen this year, I think Slumdog Millionaire is overrated, I'm glad to see Heath Ledger on the list as well as 2 nominations for Kate Winslet, I don't think Mamma Mia is deserving, I'm surprised by the Tom Cruise nomination and I think all the TV awards are hopelessly pretentious and the voters need to redirect their attention towards network TV.
